Lashisma (Lashisma (Bimatoprost)) has an active ingredient is Lashisma (Bimatoprost) 0.03% in 3ml.  Lashisma (Lashisma (Bimatoprost)) Ophthalmic Solution is an eye care medication used to treat patients with hypotrichosis of eyelashes or inadequate eyelashes. This medication aids in making the eyelashes more noticeable by increasing their growth and making them longer, thicker, darker. Lashisma (Lashisma (Bimatoprost)) is similar to a natural chemical in the body called prostaglandin. Lashisma (Bimatoprost) is also used in the treatment of glaucoma. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT LASHISMA (BIMATOPROST OPTHALMIC SOLUTION)

Before using Lashisma (Bimatoprost), inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it, or to similar drugs (travoprost), or if you have other known allergies. This medication may have inactive ingredients such as preservatives like benzalkonium chloride that can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Consult your doctor about this. Also, inform your doctor in advance about your medical history, especially if you have eye pressure problems (glaucoma), other eye problems (macular edema, iritis, uveitis, lens extraction/aphakia). If you get a new eye condition such as infection while using Lashisma (Bimatoprost), it may indicate that the medication is contaminated. Lashisma (Bimatoprost) may cause eyelid darkening which may be temporary and reversible. It may also cause increased brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye which is likely to be permanent. Lashisma (Bimatoprost) can cause hair growth in areas touched by it frequently around the eyelashes. Therefore, any excess solution outside the upper eyelid margin should be removed using a tissue or other absorbent material. Some irregularities are possible with respect to eyelash length, thickness, fullness, pigmentation, number of hairs, and/or direction of eyelash growth. These differences will usually subside after stopping Lashisma (Bimatoprost) usage. If you are having your intraocular pressure (eye pressure) tested, tell the testing personnel that you are using Lashisma (Bimatoprost). If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding a child, ask your doctor if it is safe to use this medication safely.

BEFORE USING LASHISMA (BIMATOPROST) OPTHALMIC SOLUTION

HOW SHOULD I USE LASHISMA (BIMATOPROST) ?

Use Lashisma (Bimatoprost) strictly according to your doctor’s direction or according to the instructions on the medication label. Do not alter the dosage unless your doctor advises you to do so. All medications come with a patient leaflet. Follow the instructions in them carefully. Do not apply Lashisma while you are wearing contact lenses. This medication may have a preservative ingredient that can be absorbed into the soft contact lenses. Ensure a gap of at least 15 minutes after putting the eye drops before you wear your contact lenses.

Use Lashisma (Bimatoprost) Ophthalmic medication once daily in the evening or as advised by your doctor. To apply, first, wash your hands and face. Remember to remove any makeup or contact lenses. Put one drop of this medication on the provided applicator. Then immediately apply the medication carefully across the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the bottom of the eyelashes starting from the inner part of your lash line to the outer part. Lashisma (Bimatoprost) should not be applied to lower eyelids. If any medication gets into the eye, do not rinse it as it is not likely to cause any effect. Use Lashisma (Bimatoprost) regularly as prescribed. It may take up to 2 months before you see the full effects of this medication. Ensure a high degree of hygiene while handling Ophthalmic drops as chances of contamination are high. Avoid touching the tip of the medication bottle or dropper as well as protect it from contact with any surface. When you stop using Lashisma (Bimatoprost) medication, your eyelashes will return to the way they looked before using this medication.

WHAT IF I FORGOT TO TAKE A DOSE OF LASHISMA (BIMATOPROST) OPTHALMIC?

Do not miss a single dose of Lashisma (Bimatoprost) Ophthalmic. However, if you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not take the missed dose if the time to take the next dose is almost up. Instead, continue with the original schedule. Never take multiple doses closer to each other.

WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF AN OVERDOSE FOR LASHISMA (BIMATOPROST) ?

An overdose of Lashisma (Bimatoprost) is not likely and will not cause any serious effects. However, if you think that you have overdosed on this medication, seek medical attention right away or call the Doctor immediately. Things and Activities to avoid while using Lashisma (Bimatoprost), Follow any diet or activity restrictions advised by your doctor.

SIDE EFFECTS DUE TO LASHISMA (BIMATOPROST) OPTHALMIC

A common side effect of Lashisma (Bimatoprost) Ophthalmic solution is an itching sensation in the eyes. Other side effects include redness, discomfort, dryness of the eye, or redness of the eyelid. It is possible for hair growth to occur in areas where it is not intended (areas around the eye exposed to the medication frequently). Ensure that you remove any excess medication from around the eyelashes. When Lashisma (Bimatoprost) is used for glaucoma that is when it is applied directly into the eye, it may gradually (slowly) cause brown discoloration of the colored part of the eye (iris).
